What to Do When Your Sensor Disconnects & How to Re-Upload a Session

Modified on Thu, 20 Feb at 11:03 AM

Understanding Sensor Disconnection

When you start a workout, your live heart rate is displayed on-screen in real time. However, if you move too far from Bluetooth range, the sensor may temporarily disconnect, causing your heart rate to freeze at a number (e.g., 81 bpm).

What to Do If Your Sensor Disconnects

  • No need to worry! Your workout data is still being recorded on your sensor.
  • Continue your workout as usual.
  • After finishing, stop the session as you normally would.
  • You’ll receive a notification about the disconnection.
  • Select your sensor, and all your workout data will be uploaded.
  • Keep the sensors near your phone during the upload phase. The process should take under 3 minutes.

What to Do If Session Upload Fails

Session uploads can fail due to:

  1. Internet issues
  2. Closing the app before the upload completes

How to Fix a Failed Upload

  1. If the upload takes more than 5 minutes, close and reopen the app.
  2. Go to the History page.
  3. Locate your session card and tap the Upload button.
  4. Reconnect to your sensors, and your data will upload as usual.
  5. Your results will be available once the upload completes.

? Important: Always upload your session before starting your next workout to prevent overwriting stored data.
